Pratt Selects KHA for Renovation of Historic Manhattan Loft Building

Pratt Institute has selected KHA to create a new street presence and identity for its Manhattan gallery as well as renovate interior spaces to increase the number of classrooms in the Pratt Manhattan Center. Located on West 14th Street, the seven-story loft building, constructed in the late 1890s, was designated a New York City landmark in 2008. Over the past century, the building had been home to many manufacturing tenants, including the textile firm Deering, Milliken & Company, R.H. Macy’s, and stringed instrument maker Epiphone. Pratt acquired the building in 1999 and restored it for use as their Manhattan campus.
