The Neuberger Museum of Art celebrated the opening of their new public space for art inside the SUNY College of Optometry with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 20, 2016. KHA designed the gallery space along with the entrance and lobby on the ground floor of the College of Optometry’s historic building across from Bryant Park in midtown Manhattan. The inaugural exhibition, Deborah Kass: Day after Day, is a site-specific, large-scale digital print commissioned by the Neuberger Museum. It is Kass’s first wallpaper work and is based on one of her favorite paintings, a 2010 canvas from her series more! feel good paintings for fee bad times.
Free and accessible to the public, Neuberger Museum of Art SPACE | 42 is located at 33 West 42nd Street in New York City. Stop by and check out the current exhibition and KHA’s design of both the lobby and gallery space. Gallery hours are: Monday-Friday, 9-5; Saturday, 9-4; and Sunday, 10-6.
