Frances Halsband FAIA has been invited to participate in a Law & Education Forum focused on the issues educational institutions face when they seek to develop, redevelop, sell or lease their real estate. Presented by the New York City law offices of Venable LLP, the Law & Education Forum is a cross-disciplinary discussion series focused on legal issues important to universities, secondary schools, independent schools, and other degree-granting institutions.
Joining Frances on the panel are Susan Wallace, Principal, Zubatkin Owner Representation, LLC, and Suzanne St. Pierre and Susan Golden, Construction Law, Zoning and Land Use attorneys at Venable. Some of the issues that they will focus on include master planning, development rights transfers, co-development of underutilized property with private parties, construction around the school calendar, and unique aspects of building and expanding in New York City.
