Frances Halsband FAIA speaks with Sigrid Miller Pollin FAIA about her distinguished career in architecture at an event organized by Western Massachusetts AIA Women in Architecture. The talk, followed by a reception, will be held in South College at UMass Amherst from 4 to 6:30pm. Self-guided tours of South College will precede the talk.

Alex Diez AIA, LEED AP gave a talk and tour of Gilman Hall at Johns Hopkins University as part of the joint AIA Committee on Architecture for Education and Association for Learning Environments Spring Conference in Baltimore held April 11-14, 2018. Alex led the renovation of historic Gilman Hall at the head of the campus quad, which included inserting an skylit atrium into an unused center lightwell to become a new social heart for the building and the campus.

Michael A. Nieminen FAIA and Michael Maza AIA, LEED AP were guest lecturers at their alma mater North Carolina State University College of Design. They presented eighteen of the firm’s projects to students and faculty, focusing on design strategies for the transformation of historic sites and buildings.
